Church Operational Tools

The single biggest reality

Probably the biggest issue for the church today is the back door is the same size as the front. Churches make loads of converts, and they never see them again… The thing we find most confusing is why they are so confused about that… People come to accept Christ through the direct ministry of the Holy Spirit, and then for most churches, there it ends. It ends principally because churches believe that new-believers should think like they do, not the other way around…

We work in 3 areas, all part of Digital Services

The growth of all parts of Digital Services for Churches is not up for debate. The difficulty is that churches themselves usually have a fairly long time-tested method for taking on staff, particularly when it comes to Ministers. They usually need to have gone to the right Seminary and completed the requisite amount of training from their preferred institution(s). The problem of course in the Digital Services area is that most of it didn’t exist 5 years ago. The technology behind most of the Digital Services is moving much faster than most churches are equipped to deal with. The result? Most just stop and wait, fearing that the wrong decision is much worse than no-decision… So, if you want to get started closing that back door, then read on, otherwise, leave now…

So, change the front door and start closing the back one

The Front Door

Understand this, no one is going to come to your church without googling about its presence on the net and in the world we live in first. Everyone who comes there has already “been there” digitally. So, if you don’t already have a great site, Step One, go get one… Step Two stream your services online. Most people will not go to a church service of any kind if they have not seen one beforehand. This can be as simple as doing as a Facebook Live event, or as sophisticated as a full-blown church-on-line experience. We help churches do this at all levels…

The Side Door

When a person accepts Christ, most churches invite them to have a Bible, a New Testament, or a book of some sort. Now, these people don’t normally carry around books on their weekend off-hours, so why would you give them a book to carry around? Bible or otherwise? Well, because we are not thinking like they are. Churches want converts to see things their way, and make little if any effort to even imagine what that new convert is thinking or feeling. The one thing we know is that 101% of people coming to church have a mobile phone of some sort. We also know that to get the full Bible on that phone they are already carrying would be a very small effort on the part of the church. And then they could even have it in the translation that they could best relate to… And amazingly enough, the whole thing is free. Free to get, free to use, it is the “Bible App”, also known as the YouVersion app. Runs on any device…  Side Door Step One: get them easily started actually reading an actual Bible on their actual device in their actual “language”… We help churches do this most effectively…

The Back Door

The universal thinking of most new Christians is just plain confusion about exactly what this new thing is, so help clear the confusion, partner them up with a person doing a daily Bible reading plan with them. Again, it is totally free, and there are dozens of plans to choose from. Back Door Step One: get them daily reading the actual Bible with actual “basic help” understanding of what it means to be a Christian. We help churches do this most effectively…

Small groups are all the rage around the world, and they go by all kinds of names. Everywhere in the world, the communication platform for the administration of all of them is digital: Facebook Messenger, What’s App, Text Messaging, etc. This has now been parlayed into attendance at many of these groups. All manner of reasons can keep people away from their “small group”, so often people come into the group by FaceTime, Skype, Zoom, and now Facebook Portal. And even further, there are small groups that meet entirely over the net using some of these tools. Back Door Step Two: be the initiators of small group attendance by the net, both as the adjunct to as a physical one and stand-alone.

 Getting the help you need:

  1. the Digital Services enabling tools are here, you choose the level of involvement you want. We can help you both choosing the right tools and implementing each of them
  2. using these tools are probably not the skill set of most of your staff, no problem, why should they be? We can help your staff get the skills they need so that they can make this work…
  3. you will need to get the right people trained to do the right things, we help with that…
  4. you may need some help with the presentation of your “front door”, we are happy to help with that.
  5. you will most probably need some one-time technical help with the most effective streaming process

We have a number of ways to help and are happy to start the discussion with you…
